PRODUCT DETAILS
Production Introduction

LiDAR stands for "Light Detection and Ranging" and is an advanced remote sensing technology that uses laser beam reflection and the Doppler effect to measure wind speed and direction for weather forecasting, air quality monitoring, wind resource assessment, wind farms Power prediction provides reliable and accurate data and is therefore widely used in wind energy, aviation, urban planning, meteorology, ecology and other fields. Compared with the traditional wind speed and direction measurement method, this detection method does not require contact with the object surface, can avoid object obstruction, and can complete remote sensing aerial survey instantly, so it is more convenient.

Features

Wide measuring range
Wind Measurement Lidar can continuously measure wind speed and direction from 40m to 350m. The measurable wind speed range is 0~75 meters/second. There are also 24 programmable range gates, so the detection range is very wide. Meanwhile, the IP67 rating makes it windproof, waterproof, and sturdy enough to withstand high winds and heavy rain while providing accurate data, and can even be used on offshore platforms.

High-precision 3D measurement
Our equipment uses coherent Doppler frequency shift technology and pulsed lasers, which can emit tens of thousands of laser particles for continuous measurement, and then obtain three-dimensional movement information of the atmosphere through calculations, and obtain wind change information through system software analysis. Powerful optics, customized algorithms, and signal processing technology enable it to have a maximum resolution of 1m, wind speed accuracy within 0.1m/s, and wind direction error less than 3°. It complies with the IEC 61400-12-1 standard and has very high reliability.

Automated detection
In addition to the traditional power supply system, our Wind Measurement Lidar is also equipped with a solar or wind power supply system, so it can complete continuous automatic detection and data transmission outdoors where there is no stable power supply. Operators can detect and control the device remotely. In addition, it has a built-in self-diagnosis system that can remind users in time.

Product Qualification

The onshore vertical Lidars and offshore floating lidar systems, 3D scanning Lidars and nacelle Lidars have got verification by WindGuard, DNV_GL, SGS and other international authorities, proved to be the world-class equipment. The data accuracy reaches the wind cup class level, compliant with IEC61400-12-1 standards. The laser source of 1550nm wavelength is a Class 1M laser product which meets the eye-safety EN 60825-1 standards. The Lidars are also CE marked, ready for shipment to European market, Asian market and Middle East as well.

FAQ

Wind Measurement Lidar - How Does It Work?

It works by emitting laser beams from the optical window into the sky. These beams hit particles and aerosols in the air, a process that reflects the light. Winds are derived from direct measurements of Doppler shifts of backscattered laser light by molecules and atmospheric aerosols.
